Simply Beautiful

The best time to experience Abel Tasman national park is during summer. The water is a clear blue, the sky is blue, the weather warm, not hotter then 28 degrees, its like being on a tropic island. You can walk the Abel Tasman track, which is an easy going 3-4 day track through forest along the beach. However be prepared to see a lot of tourists, which is good if you want to socialise, but bad if you like peace and quiet. Also you often hear motorboats passing by, people going on tours and lots and lots of kayaks, as you can kayak the Abel Tasman track. All in all, Abel Tasman equals Milford Sound as one of the most beautiful places in the South Island, but is definately very crowded.
