    • What To Buy: Bluff Oysters, an internationally known delicacy, is only available once a year, as stocks are limited and the season short. They come from a small town on the very tip of the south island, near Invercargill.

    Having heard all the hype (they even have the Bluff Oyster festival once a year!) I bought them for a very expensive price and tried them and was nearly sick. I loooove seafood, I come from Fremantle, a fishing port in Perth, yet these oysters were horrible slimy cold things. Maybe I wasnt eating them right, I did chew them and I think you are not meant to chew raw oysters but I cant stomach anymore. So if anyone once 10 free Bluff Oysters let me know..

    What To Pay: I paid $17 for 12 oysters.

     Ah...I should come back to Chch in summer, but being here in winter is also nice, but I wish I could have come earlier...to see the trees in red colours. What a sight!

     Pleased to see your views on Chch. I hope you are also thinking about solutions. You will find the largest polution problem on the Avon is the ducks. Where I live we shoot them. Enjoy Chch all the same, I'm sure you do appreciate what we have.
