It really has a fountain! We found Fountain Hills almost by accident when staying in Scottsdale during 2006 and 2007. When it came time for Christmas 2008, my parents found a condo in Fountain Hills instead. It was a nice change - some shopping, good food without the constant holiday traffic of Scottsdale.
Of course, by then, we had places (shops and restaurants) that we loved in Scottsdale and found ourselves driving there often enough! |
|  | FOUNTAIN hills On one edge of town, there is a truly giant fountain that "erupts" each hour for 15 minutes. At night, it's lit. It's a beautiful oasis in what is often the dessert and seems very family-friendly as there are shops and a playground on the edges of the park. |
Amazingly, this was the view from our Christmas 2008 condo. We stayed on the edge of town and had amazing views no matter the weather. | | |
