Off The Beaten Path: Take a Trip Out of Dublin
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • A lot of people who visit Ireland from the UK may not travel outside of Dublin, but the rest of Ireland is not to be missed! Try taking a tour of the country with someone who knows what they are talking about. Shamrocker Tours specialise in multi-day trips out of Dublin for backpackers. The Western Rocker includes a visit to Blarney Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, and rural Ireland.

A 3 day trip cost 69 pounds ($110 US), and included accommadation. For me the highlight of the trip was jumping around to a celtic rock band, and having a gorgeous stew and Guiness.

The Irish cliffs are better, the Dover Cliffs are only famous because of Vera Lynn, but the castle is still impressive. Very astute comments on a beautiful country.
