You are looking at Manchester, the sun baked jewel of the North. Come here to top up your tan and enjoy the rays. Raise the cream of manchester to your lips and thank the heavens that the city is blessed with such a fortuitous climate.
Manchester is not a bad place to live, and although it is not a major tourist destination in any sense, there are enough diversions to keep the traveller happy on a day visit. It is a handy base and a reasonable train ride from a number of other Northern attractions, including the great scenery of the lake and peak districts, the castle and viking history of York, and the Beatle's haunts in Liverpool. |
