Boats at Sunset, Reduit Beach - Saint Lucia

We honeymooned in St Lucia in June 2002, and couldn't have wished for anything more romantic, scenic and lush all rolled into one.

The beaches aren't pure white like other Caribbean islands, and vary from golden to black.

We stayed on the mile long Reduit beach, near Rodney Bay in the north of the island, which was a golden sweeping beach, providing a scenic view of Pigeon Island.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Most lush and therefore beautiful island
Cons:Wetter than the other caribbean islands.
In a nutshell:Offers more than you'd think.

We stayed on Palm Island a number of years ago, nles it has improved a lot, don't do it - there are much nicer islands such as Mustique. Apart from that, great pages giving us more ideas for our forthcoming St Lucia trip.
