Pau is a lovely little town in the south-west of France with loads of history. It is the head of the 64 department and the capital of Bearn. There is a strong English influence which can be seen in many places throughout the town. It is also home to some of the best food in France if you like duck - foie gras, maigret de canard, jurancon and madiran wines and some delicious cakes (as always in France). |
