So when you want to take a break from lounging by the pool & sleeping through a hang-over, rent a car and head to the Red Rock Canyon. It's so close to vegas, and so beautiful! You can drive the scenic route, and stop to climb the rocks. Wear sneakers though!! I would say it took less than an hour to get to, and the views are amazing! Definitely worth going to. Most the hotels will provide you with a fairly easy to follow map, and the roads are really simple, so you won't get lost. You can also take a bus tour, but those were really pricey, and it worked out cheaper to rent a car and head there.
