Awesome trip but be prepared to travel outside of san juan. old san juan is nice, but the best of puerto rico is a drive away from the city of san juan.
we drove to fajardo and kayaked in the bioluminescent bay there. That was an amazing experience..see my travel tips for more details!
I absolutely loved puerto rico, and returned recently to visit the off-island of Vieques. Vieques is amazing, i highly recommend visiting it!! I have placed all my tip and pics of Vieques in its own page. |

We just went to Puerto Rico and the park ranger said you can't swim in the falls anymore..too many were going there on weekends and throwing massive parties, leaving trash there.....he stated it was ruining the natural preservation of the rain forest. | cachaseiro Fri Apr 2, 2004 04:25 UTC
