Restaurant Name: Legal Sea Foods
I haven't tried many seafood restaurants in Boston and I am sure there are better (at least that is what I have heard), but Legal Sea Foods is my favorite place for seafood in Boston. I have always had a great meal and a great time here and make it a point to eat here every time I go to Boston.
There are many locations, but I have always eaten at the Long Wharf location by the Aquarium. Legal Sea Foods has recently opened restaurants all over the east coast, but started in Boston.
The service is very good, and the menu has a nice selection. On some busy nights, prepare to wait 30 minutes to more than an hour for a table. Dress is casual.
Legal Sea Foods is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Favorite Dish: The New England clam chowder is some of the best I have ever had. The raw oysters and steamed mussels are very good.
Definitely try the lobster or any of the fish (swordfish, tuna, scrod).
If you want a good sampler of the menu, try either the lobster bake (lobster, steamers, mussels, corn, clam chowder, and a side) or the fisherman's platter (fried shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams, and haddock).
