Anthony's Pier 4: Great Seafood
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Anthony's Pier 4

Anthony's is a world-famous seafood restaurant. At one time in its history, it was the highest grossing restaurant in the world. It has lost some of its glory, but it is still a great seafood restaurant. The last time I went was for a banquet in May 2003 and everything was great - food, service, and hospitality.

You can sit outside when the weather is nice, and the indoor dining room is decorated very nicely. I would dress business or business casual to eat here. Anthony's is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Favorite Dish: The lobster bisque or clam chowder is good to start with.

For dinner, try a lobster dish or swordfish. Lobster is the specialty at Anthony's.

In addition to great food, the wine list is spectacular, and there is a selection of cigars.

Legal Sea Foods: Legal Sea Foods
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Legal Sea Foods

I haven't tried many seafood restaurants in Boston and I am sure there are better (at least that is what I have heard), but Legal Sea Foods is my favorite place for seafood in Boston. I have always had a great meal and a great time here and make it a point to eat here every time I go to Boston.

There are many locations, but I have always eaten at the Long Wharf location by the Aquarium. Legal Sea Foods has recently opened restaurants all over the east coast, but started in Boston.

The service is very good, and the menu has a nice selection. On some busy nights, prepare to wait 30 minutes to more than an hour for a table. Dress is casual.

Legal Sea Foods is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Favorite Dish: The New England clam chowder is some of the best I have ever had. The raw oysters and steamed mussels are very good.

Definitely try the lobster or any of the fish (swordfish, tuna, scrod).

If you want a good sampler of the menu, try either the lobster bake (lobster, steamers, mussels, corn, clam chowder, and a side) or the fisherman's platter (fried shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams, and haddock).

Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers): Cheers
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers)

Bull & Finch Pub is the inspiration for one of the all-time classic TV shows, Cheers. The inside is nothing like the TV set, but this is still a unique place to stop and have lunch.

It is one of the biggest tourist stops in Boston, and most likely you will have to wait for a table. There is a gift shop upstairs to buy Cheers memorabilia and souvenirs while you wait, or you can take pictures at the famous entrance.

Dress is casual, and reservations are not accepted. Hours are 11 AM - 2 AM daily. Beacon Street is the original location. A new one just opened up at Faneuil Hall.

Favorite Dish: The burgers are great here. Haven't tried anything else.

I was wondering if you might know why Breed's Hill was named that. Also, why was Bunker Hill named "Bunker Hill", was it for any specific reason or what? And if Breed's Hill was named after anyone, who was it?

Nice page! Not many people from out of town know about the old Hancock Building's weather. Nice pics of Fenway, too!
