Boston

by grkboiler - last update: Apr 30, 2004

Boston is one of my favorite cities. It has so much history and entertainment, beautiful city streets and neighborhoods, amazing college campuses, and a great atmosphere that keeps me coming back every year.

My favorite thing about Boston is the Red Sox. I always catch a game or 2 when I am there. Last year I finally got a chance to see the Red Sox play the Yankees, and that was the best baseball game I have ever been to in terms of atmosphere. Definitely catch a game if you are there during baseball season.

I should be back in Boston sometime in August or September for a weekend, so I will do some sightseeing and take some more pictures so I can put some better tips on here. Usually I go just to visit my friend or catch a ballgame at Fenway so I never did get to see much.

I was wondering if you might know why Breed's Hill was named that. Also, why was Bunker Hill named "Bunker Hill", was it for any specific reason or what? And if Breed's Hill was named after anyone, who was it?

Nice page! Not many people from out of town know about the old Hancock Building's weather. Nice pics of Fenway, too!
