Beware of people asking you to change money on the street. Don't ask questions, just say no. Only change money at an authorized place.

Money Exchange: Travellers Cheques

|
When exchanging travellers cheques, make sure you do it at an American Express or Thomas Cook office for little or no commission. I went to a local exchange office advertising 0% and got screwed out of 15% of my money. Don't trust the local places.

I ate at Pivnice u Glaubicu on June 30th. The waitress gave us the most expensive version of a meal without informing us of the fact. Also, she purposely tried to overcharge us. She handed us a hand-added bill on a napkin that had been inflated. | sikorka Thu Sep 7, 2006 14:34 UTC
