Restaurant Name: Any cafe with outdoor seating
Here is a little tip on how to save some money while eating at the Old Town Square in Prague: The Old Town Square is one of the nicest settings to have a meal while in Prague, and also one of the most expensive. If you want to sit outside, you will pay 40-60% more than if you sit inside.

Restaurant Name: Jagr's Sports Bar
Hockey superstar Jaromir Jagr has his own restaurant/sports bar in Prague. It is decorated with hockey memorabilia throughout and is filled with TV screens where you can watch major sporting events from around the world. There is also a pillar in the middle of the dining area with lockboxes containing a bottle of liquor and a nameplate of a Czech hockey star on each box. If you want some Jagr memorabilia, you can visit the gift shop at the entrance. All different types of food are available here, including burgers, steaks, pastas, chicken, seafood, and traditional Czech. The bar has a good selection of beer. I only have 1 complaint: I went in for lunch when it was empty and service was very slow. Hours are 11 AM - Midnight daily. Dress is casual.
Favorite Dish: I only went in for a quick lunch, so we ordered a few appetizers and soup. The appetizers were nothing special. The Russian Borscht is excellent.

Pivnice U Glaubicu: Great Authentic Czech Food

Restaurant Name: Pivnice U Glaubicu
Pivnice U Glaubicu is a restaurant that is built into a 700 year old wine cellar and serves very good traditional Czech food in an happy atmosphere. You can sit inside in rooms with lots of character or outdoors. It is definitely geared towards tourists but I still recommend it. The prices are much better here than they are at restaurants on Old Town Square.
Favorite Dish: As soon as you sit down, a very friendly waitress will convince you to try a shot of Becherovka. It is a good start to your meal here. We each ordered something different from the Czech traditional specialties on the menu. I had the goulash with bread dumplings and a bowl of onion soup. It was excellent, and ordered the same thing on a return visit to Prague. Definitely try some original Czech beer. Pilsner Urquell is features here and it is very cheap.

Restaurant Name: U Tri Zlatych Hvezd
U Tri Zlatych Hvezd is a traditional Czech restaurant near St. Nicholas Church in Mala Strana. The decor is a little stuffy inside, but the service is friendly. This is definitely geared towards tourists, but prices are more reasonable than on Old Town Square. Hours are 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM daily.
Favorite Dish: We stopped here for lunch. I had the roast duck and a bowl of onion soup. The duck was good and the soup was excellent.

Steak Bar U Orloje: Overpriced Old Town Square Restaurant

Restaurant Name: Steak Bar U Orloje
Steak Bar U Orloje is an overpriced restaurant on Old Town Square near the Astronomical Clock. The only reason I ate here was because it was 11 PM and everything else was closing. The food is good but the prices are way too high. You can sit in a very trendy inside or sit in the shadow of the Astronomical Clock outside and watch the crowds walk by. Hours are 8 AM to 2 AM.
Favorite Dish: I had the Balkan Salad, which was greens with balsamic dressing and goats cheese, and we shared a sausage plate, which was different types of sausage. Each meal was very good. They also have a good selection of alcholic drinks.

Restaurant Name: Staromestska Restaurace
Staromestska Restaurace is nice restaurant right on Old Town Square. They have a good menu with Czech specialties and a decent breakfast. To save money, sit inside - the menu prices are higher if you sit outside. There is a good selection of soup, seafood, chicken, steaks, and Czech specialties. The menus are multilingual. Hours are 9 AM to Midnight, but I was turned away at 11:20 PM one night and I wasn't happy about it.
Favorite Dish: I stopped here for breakfast and it was good. It was just a traditional eggs and toast breakfast.
