Just across the border from Geneva, Ferney Voltaire is the home of many a diplomat and dignitary. It is generally cheaper to live in France than Geneva/Switzerland so many people commute between the two. A generally quiet town, Ferney does have some real gems tucked away in it, and the markets are well worth a visit. |

Nemorino Thu Jan 29, 2009 10:53 UTC I have never been to Ferney-Voltaire, but would be very interested in seeing the castle and the Voltaire museum. (I went to Voltaire's other house in Geneva last summer.) | dsantosh Tue Oct 26, 2004 15:33 UTC Many many happy returns of the day. Happy birthday and greetings from India. | Annebl Fri Jan 2, 2004 20:04 UTC I just had to check out this page as I always used to go to the market here when I lived in Geneva-good memories! |
