This is a friendly set of self-catering rooms in a garden setting in Bourke Street. Although it doesn't have the atmosphere of some of the self-catering and B&B accommodation in Graaff-Reinet, it is also somewhat less expensive (R350 per unit per night), making it a good budget place for a few nights or longer. I must admit that we were pesterd by mosquitos in the evenings, requiring the purchase of more plug-in mosquito mats. We didn't notice them so much elsewhere in the town.
The units have a TV set, kitchenette and full cutlery and cooking equipment. They also include a carton of milk, coffee and tea, which not all self-catering units provide these days. The complex includes a very small pool with a slide, but with no shallow end. It is fenced in, but those with young children should still take care as the gate is usually open. There is secure off-street parking.
About R700 per self-catering unit
Unique Qualities: The gardens are small but with some established trees and flowers that attract a good variety of bird life, including a number of entertaining resident pin-tailed wydahs..
