A nice afternoon in West End is a pleasant way to wind down from the exciting activities you've been on whilst in Brisbane. It is a little suburb filled with interesting shops, eating places and drinking holes.
West End is very easy to get to either by public transport or foot. From the city you can take the 199, 196, 192, 195 buses. Since they stop at the Cultural Centre (SouthBank) you could also catch transport (train, CityCat) from outlying areas before transferring to one of the above buses. A walk from the city would take approximately 20 minutes.
There are 3 main areas to West End. The main precinct is Boundary Street, and a smaller dining strip on Hardgrave Road. To reach Hardgrave Road you should take the 199 or 195 and travel past Boundary Street. Lastly, Montague Road is home to the Green Markets at Davies Park and the warehouse shopping.
