Carmel has about 5,000 wealthy inhabitans. | The beautiful coastline along Central Coast. |
The coastal region in between San Francisco and Los Angeles is indicated as Central Coast. A spectacular coast where caprious rocks, green valleys and nice towns succeed one another.
Carmel is nestled between the world famous Pebble Beach Golf Course to the north and the spectaculor Big Sur Coast by the south. By carefully guarding the natural beauty of the area, Carmel has created an European style retreat away from all the headaches of everyday life. |

| | 17 Mile Scenic Drive Don't forget to drive the 17-Mile Scenic Drive, which is a picturesque route in between Pacific Grove and Carmel. Of course very famous are the Lone Cypress and the legendary golf courses. The brochure says that there is more to the 17-Mile Drive than the spectacular meeting of land and sea, although there is plenty of that, too. |
