A special place in my travel history.

To me Passau has a special place in my travel history. I have always visited Passau on my way to my favorite village in Austria called Hinterstoder. Whenever I’m close to the border of Germany – Austria I feel this need to stop and visit this beautiful "The Three Rivers City". It owes this nickname by its location, being situated at the confluence of the rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz.

Passau was part of the Roman Empire for more than 400 years and therefore has a huge inheritance of historical buildings and other picturesque places to visit. To me it is quite obvious that Passau has an unique charm and its atmosphere makes it one of the most beautiful and spectacular German cities I know.
