It's trully a challencing question -> "How to find a suitable place to stay in Venice?". As you can imagine there are so many, many hotels, B&B's, hostels, et cetera. How to choose? We did some surfing over the internet when we were planning our trip at home, We searched for B&B's and found quite a few we liked. We sended them all an email asking about availability and the only one that answered was Residenza Al Pozzi. So finally, it was an easy decision to make :)! Residenza Al Pozzo lies in the San Polo sestiere, which is the smallest one of Venice, but it's also the second most important area of the city in terms of historical importance and attractions for the visitors of Venice. To be exact, the Residenza Al Pozzo is situated at the sunny Campo San Polo (San Polo Square). When we arrived in Venice we were lucky that Michele was so nice to pick us up from the bus terminal Piazzale Roma and even carried some bags for us! Maybe the entrance of the B&B isn't really inviting, but once inside it's quite a different picture. The entire guest house has been furnished in that typical Venetian baroque style, a joy for the eye. The room we had was rather large and also comfortable with a tv and bathroom present. What else did we need?
Unique Qualities: The breakfast, no doubt about that! We received the first one in our room and it was quite rich with coffee, tea, hot backed bread, eggs, et cetera. We also enjoyed a breakfast at the sunny flowered terrace from which we could see the Belltower of the Basilica dei Frari.

Our stay at the Residenza Al Pozzo was as we wished for, a peaceful and relaxing stay. It made us comfortable in the most romantic city of the world. They knew that were on our honeymoon and at our arrival champagne was available. How about that! We also had some nice chats with Cristina and Michele about the city. They indicated us about some splendid itineraries, museums, spots to avoid and typical restaurants. For some entertainment and historical architecture we didn't have to go too far away, because Residenza Al Pozzo is situated at the Campo San Polo (San Polo Square), which is one of the oldest and largest squares of Venice. This campo is the heart of the San Polo district. It's a beautiful square and especially the north eastern side of it faces some extremely beautiful palazzo's. The San Polo Church at the corner is from the 9th century and has all kinds of architecture in it, which makes it a very nice church to visit. Finally we like to state that all accomodations in Venice are laughably overpriced, to add insult to injury, sometimes fully booked. By the Residenza Al Pozzo we found a nice and warm place to stay for a reasonable price. We like to thank Cristina and Michele for it!
