Yellowstone National Park was the one that started it all. On march 2, 1872 the US Congress made Yellowstone the first National Park in the world. Each year more than three million people visit the park which is 2.2 million acres (829,600 hectare). The Geysers and wildlife in the region have been protected for more than 100 years and that protection has left it as close to it's original beauty as possible. Although I spent a week trying to see everything that I could in Yellowstone I found that to really scratch the surface of what this park has to offer you would need much much more time.
