"Elk Creek Falls Recreation Area" Elk River by GuthrieColin

Elk River Travel Guide: 6 reviews and 26 photos

Elk River is a very small town with a great State Park just outside of town. The logging town is very cozy feeling but seems a little lacking in the entertainment. The Park however, for how far out it is, happens to be surprizingly busy. I saw about 20 differnt people in the time i was visiting the park.
The Columbia River columnar basalt formations are unable to miss. At both the upper and lower falls they make a candycane like twisting pattern along the canyon walls.
