City Hall nicknamed “the egg” or “The testicle” because of its globular shape. The building opens of the year, during which visitors can tread the halls of power – or a few of them at least. The tower is one of London’s four World Heritage Sites (the orders are Westminster Abbey, Kew Gardens and Maritime Greenwich). The White tower at its heart was the original Norman building around which two walls and inner all with 13 towers and outer wall with five. Ticket price is 12 pounds per person. Open 9am-6pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday during March-October, 10am-4pm Sunday and Monday during November-February

Westminster Abbey is one of the most sacred and symbolic places in England. First, it is the church where every sovereign has been crowned. The Abbey built in Gothic style. Abbey has never been a cathedral – it is administered directly by the Crown. Tickets for adults 6 pounds, children under 11 – free. Open 9.30am-4.45pm every day and 6pm-7pm on Mondays and Fridays, 9.30am-2.45pm on Saturdays. Underground station Westminster (District of Circle Line).

The Jewel Tower was built in 1365 to house the treasury of Edward III and is one of the last vestiges of the medieval Palace of Westminster. Today Jewel Tower’s exhibitions describing the history and procedures of Parliament. Ticket price is 2 pounds per person, open 10am-6pm from April to September, 10am-4pm from October to March.

The House of Commons and House of Lords are housed here in the Palace of Westminster. It was built in 1840 when neo-Gothic style was all the rage in London. The most famous feature outside the Houses of Parliament is the Clock Tower also known as Big Ben. The real Ben, a bell named after Benjamin Hall, who was commissioner of works when the tower was completed in 1858. The best view to Big Ben and Houses of Parliament is from the eastern side of Lambeth Bridge.
