The Jewel Tower was built in 1365 to house the treasury of Edward III and is one of the last vestiges of the medieval Palace of Westminster. Today Jewel Tower’s exhibitions describing the history and procedures of Parliament. Ticket price is 2 pounds per person, open 10am-6pm from April to September, 10am-4pm from October to March.

The most famous feature outside the Houses of Parliament is the Clock Tower also known as Big Ben. The real Ben, a bell named after Benjamin Hall, who was commissioner of works when the tower was completed in 1858. The best view to Big Ben and Houses of Parliament is from the eastern side of Lambeth Bridge.
