Island of winds

Hiiumaa - an island in the Baltic Sea, rich by versatile, beautiful and intact nature and nice people.
Our aim for going there were two lighthouses. one of them is the eldest lighthouse in the Baltic states and third eldest in the world! We meet kind people, enjoy local food without doubt that it was made only for tourists and not eatable.

Hiiumaa is near Saaremaa island, it is smaller than Saaremaa and there are less tourists, much nature. It's perfect place for kiting sport because here is strong winds.

Hiiumaa - peaceful place

Tahkuna, Hiiumaa

Here no many tourists and that's why nature is very close to people. It's an excellent place for observation of birds. The weather mostly windy and it the best conditions for kiting. The most popular place for kiting is Ritsna (the most western peninsula).

Pros and Cons

Pros:No many tourists, peaceful and clean
Cons:Only 4 ferries from Saaremaa during the daynight
In a nutshell:Great place for the rest close to the nature
