I visited Madagascar for 3 weeks starting mid-November of 2005. I loved it. It is a beautiful country, and very safe, with very polite friendly people. The highlight for many tourists, including myself, is the chance to see many different species of lemurs in the wild.
My photos, which follow, first show lemurs, then typical countryside scenes, and finally the city of Tana (Antananarivo, the capital).

Lovely to meet all these Lemurs. Madagascar is still on my wish list. BTW, how about writing some more tips about all the countries you've been, I'm sure then you would receive more ratings ;)
The diademed was really cool. I saw this on TV once and impressed and hoped it stayed vibrant for species. You did a nice job of showing the sites/lemurs and comments are very helpful.
Wow... you have been to Madagascar. Nice photos of lemurs. SL :)
Wonderful pics an good tips. Thanks for sharing.
Great pictures? Ever considered a job with National Geographic?
oohhhh so lovely lemurs i love those shots !! amazing...you made me laugh looking at them !! lol
So right about Tana. If you hit the Upper areas, it is less crowded esp. La Haute. Have you visited this area ? Btw, do you think lemurs in Vakona have already developed a Pavlovian reflex a such an extent to associate camera with your banana ? lol
Nice pics, well done! K&T
