The Jewel of Europe - One could spend an eternity strolling the streets of Paris. From Monmatre through to the Latin Quarter in Montparnesse there are things to see and do on every corner. Accompanied with the backdrop of some of the worlds most famous buildings - Tower Eiffel, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and The Louvre - just to name a few, Paris seems to have evolved around its history and has quickly moved forward into the 21st century. The delicious pastry shops 'Paul' are everywhere as well as many cafe's and restaurants serving decent food. Dan Brown's novel 'The Da Vinci Code' may have inspired a few travellers to head to Paris for a view of the ancient time meridian in St Sulpice Church, or perhaps the theory that the Holy Grail is ... actually I wont ruin it for you. Nevertheless Paris will remain timeless with so much history and world power revolving around its streets. |
