There is a cave in Chiang Dao. If you want to travel to Chiang Rai...don't take the usual route...take this Chiang Dao route, you can spend 1 hr inside the cave and then proceed towards Chiang Rai. If you have enough time...after visitng this cave..out of the town towards Chiang Rai...on the left side look for the board 'Doi Aang Kharn' nice drive on the mountain...visit the park...there is a hotel (resort) available on the submit...worth visiting.
