Magnificient floating Latern

This floating latern is held every year @ Mae Jo (15 kms out of Chiang Mai) near Mae Jo university in a Wat. These laterns will be released in hundreds at the same time. This year they did it a week before the actual Loi Krathong.

Living here in Chiang mai is a gr8 experience. Eventhough its the Thailand's 2 biggest city, you can travel from one end to another within 30 minutes, not much traffic jams and polution when compared with Bangkok. The people in the city are very friendly, I am here for the past 2 years and had only one hard experience with the Tuk Tuk driver. Everyting in this city is Mai pen rai & Sabai Sabai type. There is lot to c in and around the city. Its also known for its famous handicrafts.
