The Snowbirds Precision Flying Team

The Snowbirds home base is still located at CFB Moose Jaw and when the team isnt away performing in shows from May to October, they can be found breaking sound barriers over their home base, or their alternate practice location of Comox, British Columbia.

The Comox Valley spreads from Fanny Bay in the south, to the Oyster River in the north. It is bordered on the west by the Beaufort Mountain Range with its breathtaking Comox Glacier and Strathcona Park, and on the East by the Strait of Georgia, Comox Harbour and Baynes Sound. It encompasses the Municipalities of Comox, Courtenay and Cumberland, and portions of the Comox Strathcona Regional District, with a total population of almost 60,000.

Strathcona Park

Strathcona Park is Vancouver Island's largest, and British Columbia's oldest provincial park. Comprising more than 500,000 acres, this wilderness area is accessible from Mount Washington and Forbidden Plateau and offers unsurpassed hiking, mountain biking, camping, canoeing and wildlife viewing.
