The island of Kuredu lies at the very north end of the Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives. As far as Maldivian islands go, this is one of the larger ones, being just over a mile in length. It takes approx. 1 hour to walk round the whole lot once.
At 4 degrees North, the weather is predictably hot. May to October is regarded as the low season, when it can get rather unsettled and damp.
Accomodation consists of 300 individual residences - some basic, some standard and some really rather nice!
The main activities on the island are based around the beach and the water. Windsurfing, snorkelling, scuba diving and other such sports are all available. Apart from that - sit back, relax and watch the most beautiful ocean colours you've ever seen wash past your villa.
- Pros:Idyllic getaway with beautiful vistas
- Cons:Excusions off the island are somewhat limited
- In a nutshell:If you like the Sun, clear oceans and water sports - come here.
