  • I believe this is one of the best place to catch sunset in Phuket. It is located at the extreme southern tip of Phuket and is called Promthep Cape. This place is extremely popular with the tourist as its facing the Indian Ocean

  • This view point offers an overview of Kata Noi beach, Kata beach and Karon Noi beach. At the far left is called Pu Island.

It is located between Nai Harn beach and Kata Noi beach. If you are driving from Nai Harn to Kata Noi, you will most probably pass this View Point.

The best time to visit this place is in the morning around 5pm and in the evening 5.30pm. These timings are the best for those who likes to watch sunrise and sunset.

  • This picture is taken at Nai Harn Beach. This attractive beach is quieter and more peaceful compared to other beaches. It is popular for swimming and as a yacht anchorage during the dry season. In the evening or during the wet season, powerful waves are common, making swimming dangerous.

A regular bus service runs between the beach and Phuet Town during the daytime. Nai Harn lies slightly north of Prom Thep, at the southern tip of Phuket.

  • While at the Kata view point, i came across this eagle vendor displaying his pet eagles. He is willing to allow anyone to have photo session (with your own camera) with any eagle for the price of 150baht.

Surprising, the eagles are very tame and obedient. Its really worth the money as my only chance of getting close to any eagle is when it is flying in the sky. haha........

  • This is the environment of the local people living in the Phuket Town area. One of the reasons for them living there is due to the tourist influx that raised the property prices throughout Phuket with Patong being the most expensive sites.

This picture is taken in the vicinity of where i stayed at a homestay in Phuket Town, Summer Breeze Inn.

Have a taste living with the local Thai people.

Well i stayed at the Karon beach hotel and it was nice. BUT the transport totally ripped us off; the hotel wanted 1500 baht to take us to the airport...crazyness

Hi Shane, how much (S$) do I need to bring for a 3d2n stay @ Patong Beach?... We are are family of 5...our package doesn't include lunch & dinner & we intend 2 shop lots of "branded" bags there too! Is S$500 enough or too much? PS : We love to bargain.

The restaurant at the top of Promthep Cape is great for sunset drinks and cocktails, because of the fabulous views. Do not eat here. I have done twice, the Thai food was very expensive, tasteless, and in tiny portions. The service was really bad.
