"Tortola" British Virgin Islands by crazygal59

What a gorgeous island. The views were superb from everywhere. Not much of a downtown though. No real shopping to speak of. There are some really nice villas to stay at, but very very expensive. These are islands for sailors. Just cruise in and drop anchor. Lots of lovely beaches to swim to off your boat.

Worth the money to take a tour of the island.

Sweet beach.

You can take a mini bus to lovely beaches and rent a chair for the day. At this beach there was a small area of vendors stalls, plus a bar and food stand.

• Pros:Very scenic, friendly people and great climate.
• Cons:Expensive, not alot of affordable accomodation.
• In a nutshell:These are island for those who want a very restful vacation.
