Amsterdam Hotel Tips by crazygal59

We stayed at this hotel when our son was three. It was just what you would expect a hotel in the center of Amsterdam to be. Cozy,small and friendly. It has a wonderful bar where everyone is welcome, from locals to the resident dog.

Unique Qualities: This hotel is on the main street and is in the heart of everything. You just step out the door and walk.

This was an absolutely great place to stay. With only 50 rooms, this is truly an intimate cozy place to stay. The service was wonderful and we were constantly asked if everything was okay. The location was great. A two minute walk to the centre of town. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone except those with small children.

Unique Qualities: The hotel is right on the Herengracht canal. They have a room off the lobby which is called the Living. There are comfy chairs and sofas,lots of reading material and a fireplace that is on constantly. There is also a great bar area with cold drinks,coffee,tea and even wine and champagne and assorted alcohol, which is all complimentary. It was so nice to come in after a mornings shopping to sit down and have coffee and pastry without paying. There are also two computors, which are available without cost to check e-mail etc.
