What a wonderful world!
I believe to truly appreciate a country we must accept it as it is and enjoy the land and it's people without constantly comparing it to the way things are back home.
Soaring over the Andes.
I was actually born in Northern Ireland and came to Canada as a child. I met my husband just one year after he arrived in Canada from Amsterdam, Holland. We have been together for 38 years. We have five grandchildren. Of course it goes without saying that I love to travel. I also love reading, photography and gardening.
A rest from the heat.

Favorite mode of travel.

My husband and I are crazy about cruising. We have been all over the world this way and are planning our next trip, to Asia for 2010. So many places to see, so little time.

You don't know me, but I have a 22 year old son who is also mildly autistic. It makes me sad to hear about Your son's loss. I'm glad you and your husband had a chance to enjoy him.

Carolyn, my thoughts go out to you and your family. I hope you can get past this difficult part of your life soon. Thoughts from Beijing.
