El Jem - the colosseum El Jem is really a must see in Tunisia. There are enough pictures of the colosseum all over VT. But more fascinating was this strange kind of grass outside the monument which seemed so outlandish green in that desert surrounding. Maybe somebody knows more about it? |
Tozeur In the outskirts of Tozeur you will find a desert zoo. The man in charge is Ali (its really his name, hehe!) who loves to show you around. My wife and I were the only visitors and Ali gave us a private tour getting even most of the animals out of their cages like the fenek (desert fox) on the picture. |
Tozeur - the desert zoo Ali likes to put all kind of strange animals on you. He assured me that the snakes were not poissenous and I trusted him. He also likes to put scorpions and iguanas on you, so watch out ! |
