Tia Ber!

Honestly don't know why I like this place but I always feel quite content while I'm in Lira.

There is not an awful lot to do in Lira during the daytime apart from recovering from the previous late nights. I tended to go for long walks during the day or even on occasions hired a boda-boda to ride around.

Lira suffered a lot during the War in the north against the Lord's resistence army. As recently as February, 2004 there was an attack on Barlonya camp, about 26km (16 miles) north of Lira town leaving 192 people dead and many injured.

Lira goes hi-tech

Can't say I'm a big fan of Cows leg soup.

Nice name for the city! I had to laugh about the 'buy animal drugs' tip. And that pair of shoes, well... I generally prefer boats to buses but your journey doesn't seem to be very easy. Cows leg soup? No, thanks!
