Not the easiest place to get to but well worth the effort.

This was my second visit to Karamoja after visiting Nakapiripirit some years ago and this trip to the north east was as memorable as that trip was.

The people here are lovely! I know that the Karamajong have got a fearsome reputation but all I came across was warmth, friendliness and generosity form these people.

Although people who served me in shops and cafes here all spoke English when I walked around the market area I would have really struggled to comunicate if i didn't have some knowledge of Swahili. Knowing a few words will make a reall difference. I always got a good laugh when I tried my Karamajong on the locals.

No guns in the restaurant!? What if service is bad? Welcome back I think. I returned from the USA yesterday, but did get a steak dinner. Great info here. All the best!
