"Soroti Rocks" Soroti by muguruki

Soroti Travel Guide: 15 reviews and 23 photos

Soroti does sometimes rock especially now that it can boast its own Night Club. The locals here seem to be well chuffed that they now have Trends disco in town, which is open on Friday and Saturday nights with a "ladies night" on Wednesday.

Possibly the most pleasant town in the east of Uganda, and possibly the town with the bluest skies in Uganda!

The first time I came to Soroti you could hardly see this monument as this part of town was occupied by a huge number of refugees fleeing the fighting between the LRA and Ugandan army. This whole area of town was filled with people from the surrounding area with their few possessions such as sufurias and jerry cans.

An excellent site to look at life in this area of Uganda
