This hotel is in a great position just up from the main beach in Malindi. First time I came to Malindi I stayed here when it was the Gillani Hotel in 1990 and after many years it had a brief spell as the Gossip Hotel but now is back in the hands of the matriarchal Mama Gillani. Most of the best rooms are on the 2nd floor at the front with balconies and any number of enormous beds.

Prices can vary depending on things such as whether breakfast is included but have a word with Mama she is more flexible than she may first appear.

Unique Qualities: Its worth staying here just to sleep in the enormous swahili beds! Or possibly the great views across the bay from your balcony.
