Did you know there is still a Duke of Albuquerque back somewhere in Spain, and he occasionally visits his city?

I love Albuquerque, but for some reason I seem to slip out of picture-taking mode when I am visiting friends there. So these tiny tributes will have to suffice for now, till I can someday do it proper justice.

Both of these guys live in this wonderful city, and they've done a great job of writing up their hometown.

These guys do indeed move so fast, their zigzags are all but impossible to capture with the ever-lagging digital camera. But I did get a snap of this male roadrunner in mating plumage, as he plucked a lizard from the grass.

Now you see his plan, he's in hot pursuit of his lady love. He's chasing the coy damsel down till she hopefully gives in to his alluring demeanor, feckless lizard firmly clamped in his beak.
