Coba.: COBA
  • Tip Rating:
  • Coba is 3 hours from Cancun. It's in the middle of the jungle and it has lots of things to see. It'll be quite hot, so bring a large bottle of water. In Coba the tallest mayan piramid in the Yucatan peninsula is located. If you like climbing piramids and having a view of the jungle, then it's 100% recomendable. If you're not interested, keep on going.

    Tulum: TULUM: Amazing
  • Tip Rating:
  • Tulum is great. It's close to Playa del Carmen and it's the only piramid by the sea. It's quite amazing how these mayan guys built all these, and the landscape is great. If you're going to Tulum, BRING ON YOUR SWIMSUIT. There's an AMAZING beach right next to it. Impossible not to get in the water. You'll thank me afterwards.

  • Nice beach town close to Cancun. If you want to rest, or if you go with your gilfriend, then Playa del Carmen is much better than Cancun. Go to the handcraft shops down in the Fifth ave. They sell nice things, but as all tourist shops, they're quite expensive. Try to bargain. You might get a discount.

  • OK. So I don't scuba dive. That's why I enjoyed it. But I did go with a friend that does scuba diving and he found it boring. The place is great, you'll have lots of fun and see nice colorful fish. You might even have the luck to touch one. But that's all. I enjoyed it, so if you've never done snorkeling, this place might impress you.

Isla Mujeres: What you shouldn't do: Isla Mujeres
  • Tip Rating:
  • What does every person under 25 years wants to do in Cancun? Definately party and go to the beach. Maybe go to some Mayan ruins and do some snorkeling. I might even believe that some go to sleep. But no one goes to Isla Mujeres. This island of the northen shore of Cancun is an island with some restaurants and nothing else but that. Oh, and artcraft, that's 150% more expensive. The thing is that you go there on a tour, on a boat, and there's no way out 'til the tour is over. So don't make a mistake, unless you want to go to an expensive restaurant and stay all afternoon walking around expensive artwork.

Totally agree with you on Cancun. I enjoyed Playa del Carmen and Tulum much more. And the beaches along the coast are truely paradise! :)
