Blomfontein: where it all began

by IIGUANA - last update: Dec 4, 2003

Lord of the Rings
Blomfontein is the judicial capital of South Africa. From what I've heard, it's quite nice.
I didn't go. I just passed and grabbed something to eat while at it. After a few days I realized I should have stayed for at least one day. The reason why: this is where J.R.R. Tolkien was born. He's the man who wrote Lord of the Rings if you don't know. Since I'm a huge fan (since 1988, and not because of the movies), I should at least been to his house. I know that you can visit it. Damn. I regret that.
So if you're a fan, and would like to know where everything started, then go to Blomfontein.

Pros:"J.R.R. Tolkien's birthplace"
