Johannesburg, or Jo'burg as the local call it, is a huge city. And by huge I'm talking about 6 million people crowded and all over the place.
To be honest, Jo'burg is not what I thought it would be. I don't know if I didn't see what I should have seen (didn't know about VT then), or maybe because I didn't like it.
Anyway, I wouldn't recommend Jo'burg. It's just like any big city in the world, with quite more crime than any and very dangerous for tourists. If you have to spend the night, do it, but I wouldn't put this part of South Africa in my itinerary. |
