Only one night in Hohenschwangau, Germany to see the Neuschwanstein Castle. We drove from Frankfurt, Germany to Hohenschwangau (about 4 1/2 hours if we wouldn't have gotten lost twice). With daylight savings time it got dark at 5:15pm so the winding mountainous road was a little difficult in the dark. At the end of the road we arrived at the base of the castle, Hotel Lisl. Both father and son's castles were fully illuminated. Beautiful site...
