Nuweiba ... tiny place on the Gulf of Aqaba between Taba and Sharm el Sheikh. Fantastic clear waters, excellent coral close to the shore, sand aplenty ... what more could you ask for? We stayed at the Hilton Coral Resort Nuweiba and it was just pure heaven. Not a large resort, with plenty of charm and spotlessly clean, with the friendliest staff on earth (and a masseuse with the perfect touch) ... venture out to the Port at your peril (especially if you're a blonde European female!) but do take a cab to the Tarabin to buy holiday trinkets for those back home who were crazy enough not to brave South Sinai. Marvel at the majestic mountains and see how they change colour every second of the day ... and if you are lucky enough to catch a sandstorm across the mountains, you will remember it forevermore. |
