Love ... Love ... Love ...

I am very much a late starter to the wonderful world of travel, my first ever trip abroad was to New York for Thanksgiving 2003 at the grand old age of 33! My best friend & dearest love (one and the same!) wanted to make sure that my first trip out of the UK would be one to remember - and it certainly was. I started out in love with him ... and ended up falling in love with travelling.

So where next?

As anyone who knows me will tell you, I'm now a huge reader of anything and everything on travel ... give me the Sunday Times travel supplements & any books on life abroad and I am as happy as can be.

A great part of the fun is trying to find bargain prices, I think ... I'd love to take a summer off, travel around Southern Europe, but as my teen son is definitely a 5* freak I will have to wait until he leaves home for adventures of this kind!!!

Emigrating?

... yes please! London life gets too much and when stuck on a commuter train without any explanation - yet again - for the delays, my thoughts often wander to moving abroad. So one of my objectives this year is to learn Italian :-)
