In 1999, following my last papers for my college degree, one of my best friend, Woon, and I took a "graduation" trip to New Zealand's South Island celebrate to this event.
It was a trip filled with much wonders and excitment and was definitely a very enjoyable one as it was the first time, I am on a leisure trip to a non-Asian country.
During the visit, New Zealand clearly impressed me as an extremely tourist friendly place, but without being "touristy". It sounds oxymoronic, but that really was the case.
Christchurch was our first as well as last stop, since the international airport for South Island is after all, located here. ;-) |
