In 1999, following my last papers for my college degree, one of my best friend, Woon, and I took a "graduation" trip to New Zealand's South Island celebrate to this event.

It was a trip filled with much wonders and excitment and was definitely a very enjoyable one as it was the first time, I am on a leisure trip to a non-Asian country.

During the visit, New Zealand clearly impressed me as an extremely tourist friendly place, but without being "touristy". It sounds oxymoronic, but that really was the case.

Queesntown was our second stop and we stayed here for 2 days. Most of the adrenalin filled activities NZ is famous for such as bungie jumping, rafting, jetboating, etc... can be found at this very nice town. If adventure is not your cup of tea, you can also have a cup of tea (pun intended) at one of the many eateries in the very well organised Queenstown mall, or just shop. You can also take one of the day trips to many of the most popular destinations in Fiordland, such as Milford Sound, and Doubtful Sound.

Wherever we go, we feed the ducks.... :-)

The entire town is really very beautiful with lots of wonderful spots for taking photographs or just taking in the sights!
