"Ramblings of a Lancaster Native" Lancaster by mmyerspa
Lancaster Travel Guide: 258 reviews and 324 photos
There are many things to see and do in Lancaster. This area has much to offer beyond seeing the Amish. There are many culture opportunities, outlet shopping, unique day trips, and beautiful countryside.
- Pros:Beautiful countryside, variety of entertainment options, fairly safe
- Cons:Many tourist traps....but what's unusual about that? Suburban sprawl.
- In a nutshell:More than Amish Country

Great page on your home town. I especially liked your "off the beaten path" tips. Thanks for visiting my home page. -Jo
Hello from western Pa.
Reminds me of the time I lived in Hershey. Passed through Lancaster a number of time.
Wish I had your info before my trip to Pa. last summer. It's truly lovely and peaceful. My husband, my dog and I all agree.
This is true there used to be many fatalities here due to some oversights in design, but these problems have been addressed and the fatalities have, for the most part disappeared. Still be careful though, it is a very busy road. -Local traffic engineer
