We went to Iceland for the Airwaves festival at the end of October. Sure, we knew it would be a little cold, but we couldn't wait to see one of the most beautiful countries in the world. What better way to experience a country than to tour the sights by day and listen to awesome bands by night! |
| | Capital city Reykjavik is definitely the smallest capital city I've ever been to. On a Sunday morning we went to the main street and saw about 5 people outside. You can probably walk through most of the towns sights in about 4 hours. The picture to the left is Hallgrimskirkja, a beautfiul church and easy landmark to find your way around the city. |
| | Outside Reykjavik There are tons of excursions outside of the city that can be done in a daytrip. My favorite was the Blue Lagoon. Although it was 0C outside, the water was about 32 degrees C.. getting out of the pool was the hardest part! |
