    • Take my advice - haggle a little for the price of a ride BEFORE you step on the boat. Once they take your hand and you're trying to catch your balance, they've got you.
    So set a price before you step off the dock. These gondoliers are in competition with each other - they all want your business and aren't afraid to lower their prices to get it.
